 is the use of video cameras to transmit a signal to a specific place.It can be wired or wireless CCTV.It is use to monitor banks ,schools, warehouse and other places to prevent crime.CCTV can be monitor locally or through internet. DVR is responsible for recording.Videos captured from CCTV camera is recorded on a hard disk drive that installed in DVR the bigger the HDD(hard disk drive) the longer the record it can save.The file type of the video depend on the model of your DVR the standard file for CCTV is .264.This file type is usually used because it can save more videos than other file type like 3gp or avi.

History

CCTV is available in 1949 In USA, called Vericon. The first CCTV system was installed by Siemens AG at Test Stand VII inPeenemünde, Germany in 1942,It is installed to monitor the  launch of V-2 rockets.German engineer Walter Bruch was responsible for the technological design and installation of the system.
